During that period, she was engaged in the clinical practice and research facility, as she conducted several multi-center research clinical trials.
She has a wealth of experience in diagnosing, investigating, and managing conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Vascular retinopathy, retinal degenerations and dystrophies, macular diseases, and inflammatory eye diseases.
Currently, Sheikha Al Qassimi is a consultant in medical retina and uveitis at Shaikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi.

She is the President of the Emirates Society of Ophthalmology and ESO 2023 Conference.

Dr. Altroudi graduated from the Medical School in Damascus (SYRIA) in 1999 and started his training in Ophthalmology at Eye Surgical Hospital in Damascus. He continued general ophthalmic training and sub-specialty in anterior segment surgery in France In 2005.
Dr. Altroudi’s expertise comprises diverse clinical ophthalmic case-mix, Corneal Diseases and Dystrophy, especially Keratoconus and post trauma complications, Cataract and Glaucoma Surgery, as well as IOL implant.
